Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) Gorontalo and Elnino Mohi Agree to Reject the National Education System Design

Campus.UBMG –The Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of Gorontalo Province has indeed taken advantage of the momentum of a visit to the capital city of Jakarta to conduct consultations and discussions with figures who are now sitting as People's Representatives in the Indonesian House of Representatives.

After being received by the Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI, Dr. Rachmat Gobel, its also received by the Member of Commission X DPR RI, Elnino Husein T Mohi the visit from the leaders of universities throughout Gorontalo Province.

Head of Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of Gorontalo, Dr. Ir. H. Azis Rachman MM, IPM who is also the Chairman of the Gorontalo Bina Mandiri Foundation (YBMG) said that 5 important points demanded by Private Universities (PTS) in Gorontalo Province were to ask the government and the DPR to cancel the National Education Design,

“Dissolve commercial LAM which is expensive, Give Higher Education KIP Quota to private universities, dissolve Competency Test by Committee that violates Law no. 12/2012, revoke Minister of Education and Culture regulation no 48 of 2022 concerning Independent Pathways in PTNs," Azis Rachman asked.

This aspiration received special attention from Elnino Husain Mohi, who will follow up by conveying this demand to the Minister of Education, Culture, Technology Research, Nadiem Makarim.

"I also wants to postponement of the National Education System design to the RDP with the Minister and the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture some time ago, and we believe that the National Education System design will be postponed and returned to the government," he said.

Not only that, Elnino said that if it wants to be perfect, it must involve the entire education community and stakeholders, so that the product of the law becomes more comprehensive to accommodate all the needs and interests of the Indonesian people.

Also present at the meeting, APTISI Gorontalo Advisor, Prof. Samsu Qomar Badu, Former Rector of UNG, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad, as well as UG Rector, UBM Rector, Unipo Rector, UNBITA Rector, Head of STIKES Baktara, Chairman of YP-DLP, and YP-DLP Supervisor. (ais/at)
