Campus.UBMG- The struggle of the Chairman of the Gorontalo Bina Mandiri Foundation (YBMG), Dr. Ir. H. Azis Rachman MM, IPM is tireless, for the fate of the educators.
The design on the National Education System (Sisdiknas) which threatens the profession of teachers and lecturers has now become a polemic among university leaders.
Dr. Azis Rachman who is also the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of Gorontalo Province, from the beginning initiated the struggle, to convey aspirations related to various policies that are considered to be injuring Indonesian education.
After holding a demonstration with the leaders of universities throughout Indonesia at the State Palace and the Kemendikbudristek Office, the Gorontalo Province delegates were received by the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Dr. Rahmat Gobel.
In the discussion, Dr. Azis Rachman again expressed his concern about the draft constitution for the National Education System. Besides Rachmat Gobel, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Gorontalo Province, Elnino Mohi also attended the meeting. Dr. Azis Rachman also mentions the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Private Universities.
"There are about 40 percent of our students who are still affected by Covid even though they are already in economic recovery. Maybe we can find a solution for our Private Universities," said Azis Rachman. (ais/rls/at)
