FIPB Prepares for Even Semester, Discusses RPS through Lecturer Working Group Discussion

Campus.UBMG - As a young faculty, the Faculty of Education and Culture (FIPB), University of Bina Mandiri  (UBM) Gorontalo continues to innovate to improve quality.

In order to face the even semester, FIPB held a Lecturer Working Group Deliberation (KKD). The two-day activity was held in the Bina Mandiri Gorontalo Foundation Office Hall.

The Dean of FIPB, Imam Mashudi S.Pd, M.Pd explained, there were several objectives why this KKD was carried out. One of them is to formulate learning tools that are in accordance with standards.

"So we make this KKD before the semester process. In the form of preparations, especially in learning tools that must be prepared properly and correctly. So far, we have seen that one of the problems in the lecture process is that the achievement of competence has not been achieved properly. In addition, the learning process carried out often seems unstructured systematically. The learning process should have a benchmark, so this is what we formulate through KKD, "said Imam Mashudi.

Not only that, Imam Mashudi also said, now in the context of accreditation, the institution is required that the learning process must be based on collaboration. Namely, there must be an output outcome produced between lecturers and students.

"This is very important and all of that can be realized if it is well planned. This planning must be properly documented, formed through RPS. Now this is what we really have to make and discuss, the product or what is produced in each course. We discuss CPL, we discuss outcomes that must be SCL-based," he added.

This activity also received appreciation from the Rector of UBM Gorontalo, Dr. Hj. Titin Dunggio M.Si, M.Kes who opened the implementation of the activity.

"Alhamdulillah, this activity was appreciated by the Rector's mother. She appreciated this program because it was the first time this program was held at Bina Mandiri University Gorontalo. Hopefully, programs like this can motivate other faculties to be held," concluded Imam Mashudi who is also a doctoral candidate in education.

In addition, this KKD deliberation activity is also a gathering place between lecturers so as to strengthen the sense of brotherhood.
