Handling Stunting in Bone Bolango, UBM Gorontalo is Ready to be a Collaboration Partner

Campus.UBMG - Thursday, March 09, 2023. University of Bina Mandiri (UBM) Gorontalo as an educational institution concerned with stunting is committed to helping the government in reducing the prevalence of stunting.

"Higher education has an important role in maintaining the sustainability of the stunting reduction program by providing scientific evidence to strengthen the government's capacity to overcome stunting," said the Rector of UBM Gorontalo, Dr. Hj Titin Dunggio M.Si, M.Kes after attending the Working Meeting of Organizational and Community Collaboration Partners for Poverty and Stunting Reduction in Bone Bolango Regency.

In addition to strengthening the government's capacity to overcome stunting, universities can also provide assistance in developing effective intervention models, as well as making scientific evidence as material for practical learning.

"In line with the target expected by President Jokowi, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is expected to be at 14% by 2024. This is the role of all stakeholders," he added.

Not only that, Rector Dr. Titin Dunggio, who is also the Head of DPW APVOKASI Gorontalo Province, said that this coordination meeting showed a joint commitment to reduce poverty and the incidence of stunting in Bone Bolango Regency.

The coordination meeting was chaired by the Vice Regent of Bone Bolango, Dr. Merlan Uloli and attended by forkopimda elements and partners.
