The Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) is Proud of UBM Gorontalo's Progress at the Age of 3 Years

Campus.UBMG -University of Bina Mandiri (UBM) Gorontalo continues to establish itself as an excellent, professional and globally Private Universities. At the age of three, the campus with the nickname Pioneer of Independence has made significant progress.

The joy of the progress achieved is not only felt by the Bina Mandiri Foundation and the entire UBM Gorontalo academic community. The same is felt by the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region XVI Gorontalo. Even the progress achieved and the innovations created by UBM Gorontalo have become a source of pride for LLDIKTI Region XVI Gorontalo. Such as the formation of a special unit for the Independent Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM).

β€œI am proud that at UBM there is a unit that focuses on MBKM. I think this should be imitated and become an example for other private universities," said Head of LLDIKTI Region XVI Gorontalo, Munawir Sadzali Razak, when giving a speech at the Open Senate Meeting of UBM Gorontalo in the context of the 3rd anniversary, Monday (10/10/2022).

According to Munawir Sadzali, currently there are 4,500 private universities in Indonesia. Of this number, only a small proportion have healthy management and meet 8 university indicators. One of them is UBM Gorontalo. Therefore, Munawir Sadzali, hopes that UBM will continue to transform to deal with changes and dynamics that continue to occur.

β€œThe quality of higher education must be maintained to create excellent private universities. No less important is the development of human resource capacity. Hopefully in the future there will be more professors born from PTS UBM Gorontalo," said Munawir Sadzali.

Rector of the University of Bina Mandiri Gorontalo, Dr. Hj. Titin Dunggio, S.E., M.Sc., M.Kes, said that there are five things that are priorities for UBM Gorontalo to build excellence. The first is the determination to become the leading university in Indonesia that provides higher education with a uniqueness in the field of entrepreneurship.

β€œWe have confirmed that UBM Gorontalo is a pioneer campus for independence in Indonesia. Therefore, we are determined to make this campus an Entrepreneurship University. In the future, we will create more than 30 percent of UBM Gorontalo graduates who are entrepreneurs who can help the community, government, as well as the nation," said Titin Dunggio when giving a speech at the Open Senate Meeting of UBM Gorontalo.

The second priority, UBM Gorontalo continues to establish itself as an International and Inclusive University. In the last three years, UBM Gorontalo international cooperation has progressed. Last week, UBM Gorontalo just held an international event, namely the 5th Multidisciplinary International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in collaboration with Bataan Panensula State University, Philippines. The conference was attended by 70 presenters from the Philippines, Azerbaijan, India to Saudi Arabia.

"Previously, UBM Gorontalo managed to bring in experts from PUM Netherland Netherlands for two years to provide strengthening of higher education governance, human resource development in the health sector, to grant medical equipment from the Netherlands," explained Titin Dunggio.

The third priority is the commitment to build a quality culture. Currently, UBM Gorontalo has 15 trained quality auditors, and routinely conducts internal quality audits. Then control the continuous quality improvement in UBM Gorontalo.

Fourth, prepare graduates of growth concept and future practice. That is to produce graduates who are competent in their fields, adaptive to changes in science and technology, and can meet the needs of the workforce.

β€œFifth, UBM Gorontalo is exploring itself as a digital university. This is done as a consequence of adaptive efforts with the disruption of innovation that occurs in various fields,” said Titin Dunggio.

At the end of his presentation, Titin Dunggio, expressed his appreciation for the support of the entire academic community of UBM Gorontalo, LLDIKTI Region XVI, local governments, and all parties who have collaborated and helped UBM Gorontalo.

The chairman of the Bina Mandiri Foundation, Dr. H. Azis Rachman, S.T., M.M, IPM, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for LLDIKTI Region XVI Gorontalo, the UBM Gorontalo academic community, the local government, and all parties who have continuously provided support for the development of the UBM Gorontalo campus. The Bina Mandiri Foundation will continue to encourage the progress of UBM Gorontalo in line with its vision of Excellence, Professional, and Globally.

"We will continue to develop UBM Gorontalo by maintaining its own uniqueness. We will open specific study programs so as not to collide with other universities. That way it doesn't interfere with the sustainability of universities in Gorontalo," said Azis Rahman.

The Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of Gorontalo Province, said that at the age of 3, UBM Gorontalo has provided a multiplier effect. In addition to the contribution in realizing the improvement of human resources (HR) through higher education, the presence of UBM Gorontalo also encourages the growth of the regional economy, especially in the area around the UBM Gorontalo campus.

The celebration of the 3rd UBM Gorontalo Anniversary which took place in the UBM Gorontalo campus yard, was attended by a number of officials and figures. Among them the Deputy Mayor of Gorontalo, Ryan F. Kono, representing the Mayor of Gorontalo; Head of LLDIKTI Region XVI Gorontalo, Munawir Sadzali Razak; Deputy Regent of Pohuwato, Suharsi Igirisa; and Assistant II of the Gorontalo Provincial Secretariat, Sutan Rusdi, representing the Acting Governor of Gorontalo.

Also present were the Rector of UNBITA Gorontalo, Dr. Elis Rachman; Director of Postgraduate Bina Mandiri, Prof. Arifin Tahir, former Rector of UNG, Prof. Dr. Syamsu Qomar Badu, as well as representatives of the Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo (UMGo).

The UBM's 3rd Anniversary was started by cutting the cone-shaped rice by the Rector of UBM Gorontalo, Dr. Titin Dunggio, and handed over to the Deputy Mayor of Gorontalo, Ryan F. Kono. Then continued the Open Senate Meeting in the context of the 3rd Anniversary of UBM Gorontalo. In the open senate meeting, the Head of UBM Gorontalo UPT Student Affairs was also inaugurated by the Rector of UBM Gorontalo; and the submission of Copyright Certificates for Mars UBM Gorontalo and UBM Gorontalo campus from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Gorontalo to the songwriters of Mars UBM Gorontalo and the Rector of UBM Gorontalo.
