Campus.UBMG - University of Bina Mandiri (UBM) Gorontalo and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Philippines held the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Monday (1/8/2022).
The virtual signing of the MoU signing was carried out jointly at the Bina Mandiri Gorontalo Ballroom, and the BPSU Meeting Room by the Rector of UBM Gorontalo, Dr. Hj. Titin Dunggio, M.Si, M.Kes and President of Bataan Peninsula University, Philippines Gregorio J. Rodis, Ph.D, and Director of Postgraduate Unbita Prof. Dr. Arifin Tahir, M.Si. Also present were representatives of all faculties, heads of institutions both within UBM Gorontalo and Bataan Peninsula State University.
Head of UBM Cooperation UPT, Andriyanto Dai M.Kep explained, this MoU is the basis for various implementations of cooperation. In fact, the two universities have even designed the initial program of implementing the agreed Memorandum of Agreement, entitled The 5th International Interdisclipnary Conference on Sustainable Development Goals which was initiated by the Head of CCLC, Ayu Anastasya Rachman, S.IP. MA which will be held on 30 September to 1 October 2022.
"The International Interdisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development Goals that will be carried out is expected to increase the IKU UBM Gorontalo as well as to motivate the contribution of lecturers in the international arena by producing joint research (joint-research) with foreign universities according to the points of agreement," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of CCLC, Ayu Anastasya Rachman explained, the parties also agreed to open opportunities for both undergraduate and master students to take part in student-exchange, foreign lecturers and other scientific activities to improve the quality and quality of education at UBM. and BPSU Philippines.
"We need to say that every year UBM holds an international seminar, this is the 5th time," she said.
In addition, the collaboration between UBM and BPSU is a higher education diplomacy activity that is expected to improve the quality of human capital not only between universities, but also between Gorontalo and Bataan Provinces.
"If this diplomatic relationship is maintained, in the future the mobility between the Philippines and Gorontalo, which are also geographically bordered, can be beneficial for regional progress," said Ayu Anastasya, who is currently completing her doctoral studies at Padjadjaran University.
