Campus.UBMG - The Government of Gorontalo city held the MSMEs Festival as a forum to facilitate MSME actors, so they could promote their respective products. The activity, entitled Gorontalo City MSME Festival in 2022, was held at the Dulohupa Traditional House, Monday (28/11/2022).
Interestingly, various products from the Business Administration Study Program (AB), Faculty of Economics & Business (FEB) Bina Mandiri University (UBM) Gorontalo, took part in the event which was attended by the Mayor of Gorontalo, Dr. Marten Taha the M.Ec.Dev.
Chairman of theBina Mandiri Gorontalo Foundation (YBMG), Dr. Ir. H. Azis Rachman MM, IPM appreciated the study programs and faculties who were keen to see this opportunity.
"This is an opportunity to introduce to the community the products that are part of the student business unit. As well as being a promotional event for UBM Gorontalo which is indeed the birthplace for young entrepreneurs who are ready to contribute to improving the community's economy," he said proudly.
Meanwhile, Gorontalo Mayor Marten Taha explained, the festival aims to increase production and expand marketing. In addition, as a venue for hospitality between industrial, small and medium entrepreneurs and consumers.
"This MSMEs Festival will last for the next few days, so it is hoped that MSME actors can participate and take part in the success of this activity. The products on display today include culinary, fashion, souvenirs, household appliances, karawo, accessories and several other products," he explained.
Marten Taha also revealed that the implementation of the MSME Festival is also the consistency of the Gorontalo City Government to restore the people's economy. Not only that, there are also capacity and competency development activities for MSMEs, access to capital, and LPDB.
"Apart from this MSMEs Festival, there are also quality improvement activities and in the marketing sector, we have even helped some MSMEs through APBN and APBD funding," he said. (ais/rls/at)
