UBM Journalistic PKM Students Learn Journalism in 3 Major Media

Campus.UBMG - Students of the Journalism Student Activity Unit ,University of Bina Mandiri  (UBM) Gorontalo, had the opportunity to learn journalism directly at 3 major media  in Gorontalo Province., Thursday (1/12/2022).

The visits of students from various study programs are an institutional effort to bring students closer to the entire process in the media. The first visit was at the TVRI Gorontalo Office.

Students led directly by the supervisor, Arpin SKM, M.Kes accompanied by the Head of Education Technology Study Program, Hariyanto S. Auna M.Pd and UBM Gorontalo Public Relations & Protocol Staff, were introduced to the process of making news to editing images before broadcasting via visuals.

After that, the second visit was continued at the Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Office located on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Gorontalo City.

Many valuable lessons were received by students. From broadcasting to radio program production.

The entire series of activities ended with a visit to one of the largest print media in Gorontalo Province, namely the Gorontalo Post. These tens of students were received directly by the Chief Editor, Jitro Paputungan at the Editorial Office of Graha Pena Gorontalo.

In this newspaper media, students get information about the process of making news, the editing process by the editors to the layout of the newspaper pages before going to the printers.

“Of course this is a very memorable experience for students. Because they take a closer look at the entire journalistic process in TV, radio and newspapers. Hopefully this useful knowledge can increase students' knowledge and love journalism more," Arpin hoped. (ais/rls)
