Humas UBM Gorontalo

Campus.UBMG - Vice Mayor of Gorontalo, Ryan F. Kono B.Com M.AP became a speaker in the Millennial Entrepreneurship practitioner lecture, Thursday (10/11/2022).

With the theme "Being a Young Entrepreneur, that's cool," Vice Mayor Ryan encouraged students to have an entrepreneurial spirit.

As one of the entrepreneurs and also serving as Chairman of the Honorary Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Gorontalo, Ryan admitted that he had experienced the bitter sweetness of entrepreneurship.

“So far, the measure of student success has always been seen from their GPA. In today's era this must be changed. Lecturers and the academic community must encourage students to be creative and innovate,” said Ryan Kono.

On the other hand, the Dean of FEB UBM, Frista Iin Wahyuni SE, M.Pd expressed his gratitude for the initiative of the Rector of UBM, Dr. Hj. Titin Dunggio M.Si, M.Kes who directly facilitated the arrival of the Deputy Mayor to the Pioneer of Independence Campus. This certainly raises the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.

"Previously, we also thanked the Rector's help, being able to facilitate the deputy mayor to be able to bring material in practitioner lectures with material on becoming a Millennial entrepreneur," he said.

Frista Iin also said that in the practitioner lecture, Ryan Kono provided experiences, shared knowledge about entrepreneurship, and encouraged students to open their horizons for thinking, being creative, and innovating to become entrepreneurs.

"He really appreciates that at University of Bina Mandiri there are many young entrepreneurs who have creative ideas in producing extraordinary products that are different from the work of others," he concluded. (ais/rls/at)
